  • Amy Vineyard

  • Lori Chesser

Mrs. Chesser teaches Pre-Kindergarten classes at Earlsboro Public Schools. She has been teaching since 1994, and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from Oklahoma Baptist University. Chesser’s first experience as an educator was teaching French to first-grade students at Sequoyah Elementary as a Senior in high school. Chesser stated that this was when she became hooked.

Chesser grew up loving to learn and was greatly inspired by her Grandfather’s wisdom. Even before she could walk, he would carry her around and teach her about how crops were grown in China or how to ride an elephant while pulling logs in India. As Chesser grew older, he would tell her about the places he saw while serving in the US Cavalry and later as a naval officer in the Great War and World War II. Like her Grandfather, Chesser’s father instilled a love for knowledge and modeled serving others daily. He viewed teaching as a calling. Though her mother worked in early childhood, she helped Chesser to express her creativity. She would enroll her sister and herself in summer classes for painting, pottery, glazing, ink drawing on glass, wood burning, sewing, and so on, just to keep them learning. Chesser’s family helped her view the world as a lifelong learner, and that learning takes place everywhere, not just in the classroom.

Though Chesser enjoys the family atmosphere at Earlsboro, her favorite part is the preschools. Chesster stated, “There’s nothing more rewarding than the enthusiasm and love the students share. They create their own little family and teach me something new every day.”

    Fun Facts:

Mrs. Chesser’s favorite quote is a Bible scripture, Colossians 3:23 “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.”

Her dream vacation would be to travel to the Holy Lands in Israel and the Middle East.

Her favorite pet is dogs, and she has a blue Staffordshire, Hades/D.D. He was trained as a Marine emotional support dog.

Something students might be surprised to learn is that she loves skydiving and is an avid spelunker. She loves both caving and potholing.

She has loved being around children since the age of 8, which lead her down the education path. Harmon loves that she can be her silly/goofy self around her little friends. Seeing all of the children’s smiles every morning is one of the favorite parts of her job.

    Fun Facts:

Her favorite animal are elephants and Siberian tigers

Her dream vaction would be to go on a cruise and explore Europe with her family.

Her favorite quote is: “My dear darling, if ever there is a tomorrow when we're not together, there is something you must always remember. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. But the most important thing is, even if we're apart I'll always be with you.” - Winne The Pooh

Dear HeadStart and Pre-K Families,

Welcome to a new season of learning, discovery, and growth! Our early childhood program is more than just a classroom—it's the beginning of a lifelong journey where children learn not only the ABCs and 123s, but also the values that help them thrive: kindness, curiosity and responsibility.

At school, we help our students learn how to follow routines, make thoughtful choices, and express their needs with confidence. These are important life skills—and we are proud to build them together with you, every day.

To our families: thank you for being our partners. Your encouragement at home helps your child grow in ways we can see in every smile, question, and “I did it!” moment.

With care and appreciation,

The HeadStart and Pre-K Faculty and Staff
